Perdana Menteri, Datuk Seri Najib Abdul Razak perlu mempertimbangkan cadangan supaya beliau bercuti bagi membolehkan siasatan perhubung pembelian kontroversial kapal selam Scorpene oleh kerajaan Malaysia dapat dijalankan.
Ahli parlimen Pokok Sena, Datuk Mahfuz Omar berkata selain itu, kerajaan juga harus menubuhkan Suruhanjaya Diraja bagi menyiasat pembelian kapal selam dari Perancis itu.
"Perdana Menteri perlu bercuti sehingga kedua-dua siasatan itu lengkap agar ia dapat dijalankan tanpa halangan,” kata naib presiden PAS itu ketika lawatannya ke pameran dan sidang Defence Services Asia 2010 di Kuala Lumpur.Tahun lalu, Suaram meminta tiga peguam hak asasi Perancis untuk menyiasat pembelian kapal selam Scorpene antara kerajaan Malaysian dengan Amaris, sebuah anak syarikat firma pertahanan Perancis, DCNS.
Dua hakim dengan Jabatan Pendakwaan Paris juga sedang menyiasat kemungkinan ada unsur rasuah dalam pembelian kedua-dua kapal selam kepada Malaysia itu.
