RAUB – Van jenazah milik Masjid An-Nur Kampung Melayu Subang terbabas selepas pemandu dipercayai hilang kawalan di kilometer 333 Jalan Raub, mengakibatkan dua lelaki maut dan dua lagi cedera parah.
Ketua Bahagian Trafik, Ibu Pejabat Polis Daerah Raub, Cif Inspektor Mohd Nazlan Othman berkata, kejadian berlaku lebih kurang jam 11.30 pagi melibatkan mangsa yang dalam perjalanan pulang ke Kampung Melayu Subang, Selangor, selepas selesai menghantar jenazah ke Kuala Krai, Kelantan.
“Mangsa solat subuh di Kuala Krai terlebih dahulu sebelum bertolak pulang selepas urusan penghantaran jenazah selamat disempurnakan.
“Pemandu van itu, Zaini Tamsir, 42, meninggal dunia serta merta di tempat kejadian dan seorang penumpang kerusi belakang, Saffii Sajat, 61, juga meninggal dunia akibat kecederaan parah di kepala,” katanya.
Mohd Nazlan berkata, dua lagi mangsa cedera parah termasuk anak Zaini iaitu Zulhilmie, 15, yang duduk di kerusi penumpang bahagian hadapan dan penumpang kerusi belakang, Amran Sewa, 40-an, yang patah tangan kanan.
Katanya, kedua-dua mangsa yang cedera mendapat rawatan di hospital dan dua mayat mangsa juga dihantar ke Hospital Daerah Raub untuk bedah siasat sebelum dituntut keluarga.
“Ketika kejadian cuaca cerah dan kemalangan mengakibatkan laluan trafik menjadi sesak untuk beberapa ketika sebelum berjaya dipulihkan pegawai keselamatan bertugas,” kata Mohd Nazlan.
